About the Databases

ONTERM offers the ability to search two distinct databases: Official Names Ontario, and GeoNames Ontario. You can switch between the two by clicking on “Select TermBase” on the search page.

The Official Names Ontario database includes past and current names and titles. New official names are continuously added and the ONTERM databases are updated regularly. Each entry in the ONTERM databases is called a record.
